Beginners beware of buying too much new equipment before you start beekeeping.
You need to join a club 'before' you get bees, after a year or so, you will get to know who has equipment to sell, which hive is best suited to your needs and the bees!
Make sure you 'like' bees, I have met people all set up to keep bees, (never actually having been near a hive), then once in front of an open hive they decide it's not for them!
Someone has always made the mistake you have done or are about to do, so learn from other beekepers.
Never rush in, as a beginner beeware!
